Christantus Uche Ignites Comfortable Crystal Palace Triumph at Shelbourne.
Despite embarking on their maiden European campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting very quickly. Without star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a commanding win that all but guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure direct passage to the last 16, particularly following a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Opportunity
This occasion offered a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used talent to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second consecutive succession.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise positive evening for the visiting side.
